Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy

Effective Date: December 13, 2019

This Privacy Policy describes how AE Studio collects, uses, and shares information when you visit and engage with the Website, as well as the choices you have to access and control your information. When referring to “AE Studio” or “we”, we mean Agency Enterprise, LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as AE Studio, which operates https://ae.studio (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy does not cover any third-party products, services, or businesses that may be integrated with or accessible through the Website.

Information We Collect

AE Studio may collect and receive information and other data about you in two ways: information you provide directly to AE Studio and information we collect automatically when you access and use the Website. You can always choose not to supply personally identifiable information to us with the caveat that it may prevent you from engaging in certain activities. We encourage you to advise us when personal information you have supplied to us is no longer valid or needs updating.

Information You Provide Directly to AE Studio

When you complete the form on the Website for a free consultation with AE Studio (“Contact Form”), we collect the information you input into the Contact Form, which is entirely in your control and may include your name, email address, telephone number, other contact information, and what you would like to discuss with us. We also use Calendly to allow you to schedule a free consultation meeting with us, which may collect and share with us your name, email address, phone number, and any additional information you choose to share. Calendly has its own terms and privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.

If you are interested in joining our team and you complete the form on the Website to apply (“Job Form”), we collect the information you input into the Job Form, which is entirely in your control and may include your name, email address, links to your work, portfolio, or resume, and whatever else you would like us to know about you. We also link to our open positions on AngelList, which has its own terms and privacy policy that we encourage you to read. We may have polls, questions, or other opportunities to engage with us on the Website (“Polls”). If you choose to engage with those Polls, your response will be anonymous unless you also provide us with your email address to receive updates on future Polls. Engaging with any Polls will share the country you are located in with us, but not specific geolocation or other identifying data.

We do not request or knowingly collect visitor birth dates and have no intention of collecting any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent. If you believe that a child has provided us with personally identifiable information without the consent of a parent or guardian, please contact us at info@ae.studio. If we become aware that a child under age 13 has provided us with personally identifiable information, we’ll promptly delete it.

Information We Collect Automatically

We may use cookies and third-party services such as Google Analytics, Facebook pixel, which automatically collect primarily non-personally-identifying information from you when you access and engage with the Website or chat with an AE Studio representative. A cookie is a small piece of data that a website stores on a visitor’s device, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. The third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. The information collected may include your IP address, geolocation, referring websites or links, browser and device type, language preference, and how and when you interact with the Website and our Facebook ads. Some of this information is potentially personally identifiable, but we do not use the information to identify you. You can read more about why we collect this information below.

How We Use Information

Some of the ways we may use the personal information you provide to us include:

  • To communicate with you about scheduling a free consultation, the services we provide, or updates to the Polls or this Privacy Policy;
  • To share marketing updates, materials, offers, events, or other information with you if you sign up for our mailing list;
  • To respond to an email from you or your job application;
  • To provide our services, customer service, and access and control over your personally identifiable information;
  • To validate your identity in order to provide you with access and control over your personally identifiable information;
  • To assist law enforcement and respond to subpoenas;
  • To compile anonymous statistical data to monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the Website;
  • To prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity; and
  • To perform other business activities as needed.

Additionally, we use information you provide us, as well as cookies and other tracking technologies (“Cookies & Trackers”), to help us recognize your visit and track visitors’ use of and interaction with the Website. We have enabled certain features in the Cookies & Trackers, such as the Google Analytics DoubleClick platform, demographic and interest reporting, and a remarketing tool, for advertising purposes.

How We Share Information

We do not share your information with third parties other than with our “agents”, such as vendors, contractors, or other service providers, who are only provided such information to process it for us at our direction and only to use it for the purposes contained in this Privacy Policy.

However, in certain situations, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation if we believe, in our sole discretion, the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others. This includes exchanging information with other entities for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. Likewise, we may share and transfer your information if we reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity. If we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, your information would be an asset transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that the transferee may decline to honor commitments we made in the Privacy Policy.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, you can request access to your personal information, if any, that we keep on record. We will provide you with access to such personal information, but may ask you questions or require additional information in order to validate your identity before providing such access. We will only provide the information in our records, if any, that is readily identifiable as your personal information without further processing or linking to other data. Please contact us at info@ae.studio if you would like to make such a request. There is no fee for requesting access to your personal information; however, we may charge you the reasonable administrative costs of processing your request.

If you believe any personal information that we keep on record is inaccurate, incomplete, out-of-date, irrelevant, or misleading, you may request that it be corrected. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to correct such information, but please be aware that the information may not be completely or comprehensively updated across our systems, and we may require additional information to validate your identity before processing such changes.

Do Not Track Requests

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. If we detect any DNT signals or other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online, we respond by disabling all relevant Cookies & Trackers.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Although most changes are likely to be minor, we may occasionally need to make changes to or otherwise update this Privacy Policy. If we do update it, we will notify you either by posting the new policy on the Website with the new Effective Date, with a banner announcement on the Website, or by emailing you about the update with a link to the modified policy.
